As an experienced Secondary School Head teacher with almost 40 years of working in very challenging schools; including more that ten years as Head teacher during which I took a school successfully through and out of Special Measures to become ‘Good’ across the board, I have good knowledge of the systems, skills and professional attitudes required to bring about wholesale school improvement within the secondary phase.
For a number of years I have also supported Head teacher colleagues of secondary schools and Managers of PRU’s which have been in OfSTED Special Measures or Notice to Improve categories, to help them bring about significant changes in their schools at both institutional and departmental level; helping them to move out of ‘category’, or to overcome other difficulties, using the skills of an accredited SIP (SIPS0310 S 7543).
